Like the name implies, “Dick’s” house
is a cartoon that features that main character “Dick”
(no, not Richard) leading a simple yet sexually frustrated
life with his main love interest Fanny. As you may have
guessed already there are many “double entendres”
(a figure of speech similar to the pun, in which a spoken
phrase can be understood in either of two ways) which
all senter around sexually explicit subjectmatter. The
focus of Dick’s House are similar to cartoons such
as Bevis & Butthead, with excriment and fornication
being favorites. The visual style of Dick’s House
is very simple, with many of the charaters drawn in a
“stick figure” style filled in with monotone
colours. Dick himself is dawn in the style of the typical
clinally obese North American male whose only desire is
to attempt to procrate as soon as possible.
